World Archery is pleased to launch the second edition of the coach accelerator programme and once again offer support for the Postgraduate Certificate (PGCert) in International Sports Management.
Coach accelerator programme
The coach accelerator program will take place at the World Archery Excellence Centre in Lausanne, Switzerland, and will be delivered in English. Applications are now open for three levels:
Entry level
- Dates: 5-15 October 2026
- Application deadline: 5 August 2026
- Olympic Solidarity (OS) scholarships may be available for selected National Olympic Committees.
Minimum requirements:
- Good English level (min B2/C1)
- Support letter by national archery federation
- Successful completion of online courses before arrival to Lausanne:
- ADEL Anti-Doping course for high-performance coaches
- IOC online course on safeguarding
- National or international certification as sport trainer
- At least 1 year of experience as an active archer, trainer or club leader
- Two participations in national competitions (desired)
The head coach, together with World Archery, will study the candidate’s profile and will select a maximum of 6 coaches in total per intake. Geographical diversity and gender balance of participants will be considered for the final decision to get a minimum of 3 women in the group.
Intermediate
- Dates: 30 October-13 November 2026
- Application deadline: 5 August 2026
- OS scholarships may be available, subject to confirmation by the respective National Olympic Committee.
Minimum requirements:
- Good English level (min B2/C1)
- Support letter by national archery federation
- World Archery level 1 coach certification not older than 2022
- Successful completion of online courses before arrival to Lausanne:
- ADEL Anti-Doping course for high-performance coaches
- IOC online course on safeguarding
- At least one year of archery coaching experience
The head coach, together with World Archery, will study the candidate’s profile and will select a maximum of 8 coaches in total per intake. Geographical diversity and gender balance of participants will be considered for the final decision as to get a minimum of 50% women in the group.
Expert
- Dates: 28 November-12 December 2026
- Application deadline: 5 August 2026
- OS scholarships may be available, subject to confirmation by the respective National Olympic Committee.
Minimum requirements:
- Good English level (min B2/C1)
- Support letter by national archery federation
- World Archery level 2 coach certification not older than 2022, or equivalent national/international archery coach certification
- Successful completion of online courses before arrival to Lausanne:
- ADEL Anti-Doping course for high-performance coaches
- IOC online course on safeguarding
- At least one year of archery coaching experience at intermediate level
- Participation in local or regional competitions
The head coach, together with World Archery, will study the candidate’s profile and will select a maximum of 8 coaches in total per intake. Geographical diversity and gender balance of participants will be considered for the final decision as to get a minimum of 50% women in the group.
For selected candidates, World Archery will submit nominations to Olympic Solidarity. Final scholarship decisions are made by each candidate’s National Olympic Committee. Confirmed scholarships cover programme fees, travel and local living expenses.
Applicants must have at least one year of coaching experience and hold a World Archery coaching certificate, or an equivalent national or international qualification obtained in 2022 or later. They must belong to a member association in good standing with World Archery and its continental association, with up-to-date information in the World Archery extranet.
Postgraduate Certificate (PGCert)
World Archery is also offering partial scholarships for the Postgraduate Certificate (PGCert) in International Sports Management, delivered online in English in partnership with the World Academy of Sport and the University of London.
The programme is open to current and retired athletes, as well as professionals working in national and regional archery associations.

Applicants must hold an undergraduate degree or have at least five years of relevant sports management experience, together with the required level of English proficiency. Candidates’ potential to contribute to the future development of archery will also be considered.
